University of Zilina, Slovakia European Research Area (ERA) Chair in Intelligent Transport Systems (
Excellent scientists are invited to apply for the ERA Chair position established at the University Science Park of the University of Zilina within the prestigious European grant awarded to only 11 European research institutions within the Seventh Framework Programme. The project aims to enhance research and innovation aspects of the University Science Park and the University of Zilina in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
The ERA Chair holder is expected to represent research excellence in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems, specifically in the area of Information and Communication Technologies in connection with transport and services development towards advanced ITS.
He/She should be “Leading Researcher” (R4) according to the European Framework for Research Careers. Previous experiences with development and implementation of ITS will be evaluated during the selection process. Additionally, the ERA Chair holder will have an opportunity to influence the scientific development as the scientific advisor to the rector of the University of Zilina.
Applications should include Curriculum Vitae with a special focus on high-impact publications, research funding management and soft skills, a statement of research interest, three professional references and motivation letter.
